Citrus sinensis

Description:

The orange tree is a medium-sized tree, four to six meters high, with rounded cup and regular branches. The cultivation of this species is an important part of the economy of many countries. It occurs in regions with a mild and humid climate. In Spain it is cultivated mainly in the south of Catalonia, Valencian Community, Andalusia and in the Region of Murcia. There are many different varieties, mainly because of the quality of the fruit and the flavor, which varies from sweet to acid. Oranges are used to make some liqueurs, jams and preserves.
